Questions?

Find answers to common questions about my therapy services.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. It all begins with a free, brief consultation call to chat about your needs and see if we're a good fit. From there, we’ll collaboratively decide what works best for your life—whether that’s in-person or online sessions, and whether we meet weekly, biweekly, or you self-schedule through the client portal. Once we have a plan, I’ll send you a link to complete your intake paperwork online, and then we jump right in!

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or repeating patterns that aren’t working, therapy can help. You don’t have to be in crisis; sometimes it’s about wanting more clarity, stronger relationships, or a healthier way forward. I offer free 20-minute consulations to check fit.

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session is a conversation, not an interrogation. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand what’s bringing you in and what you’d like to change. The first few sessions serve as an assessment period—a time for both of us to get to know you better, clarify your goals, and begin identifying next steps together.

Where are you located and do you offer teleheatlh?

I provide both in-person therapy in Seattle and online therapy across Washington State. My physical office is based in Fremont, right between the Fremont Troll and the Aurora Bridge. For online sessions, I use SimplePractice—a private, HIPAA-compliant portal that makes joining video calls simple and secure.

Do you accept insurance? What are the fees?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance directly. My rates are $200 for a 50-minute session and $280 for an 80-minute session. I can provide documentation for individual clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance company.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Yes. I take your privacy seriously, and everything you share with me in therapy is kept strictly confidential. As a mandatory reporter, I am required to break confidentiality only in situations involving safety concerns—such as abuse, neglect, or imminent harm—and I will always explain this clearly.

How long does therapy take?

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Some clients come for short-term support, others for deeper work; we’ll check in regularly to keep the process intentional and useful.
